The new Whole Foods in Coral Gables (across from Sunset Place, on SW 57 Ave. and San Remo) will hold its grand opening on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
Before they open for business, though, they're offering a preview day on Monday, Sept. 24, from noon to 8 p.m.
Want to sneak a peek before they open? You'll have to make reservations. Go here and follow the steps.
Please note, you can only reserve for a maximum of two people at a time. I suppose you could go in and reserve again for the rest of your group, though. Oh! And no flip-flops, sandals or open-toed shoes. For safety reasons, of course.

Great Blog..I love to read about places in my neighborhood and around my neck of the woods. Good Job.
Just curious, but is a supermarket really that exciting that I need to get a 'sneak preview" of it? Can I then go around boasting to everyone that "I was in Whole Foods before it even opened?"
Sorry to make fun of you, tere, if you signed up for this, but come on, it's a grocery store.
I'm not offended by your opinion. It's exciting to me because I've been following the development of this particular grocery store, and I think a "sneak peek" is a good way to create buzz.
Plus, I'm hoping there's free food.
Tere: I've been informed that it is likely you will get a goody bag on the 24th. I'll be there two days later. Check out the coffee stand.
What's the parking situation over there? Did they build a garage?
From what I can tell of the building, yes, it has a garage.
It will have its own parking structure and valet service from what I hear.
On a side note.
I'm hoping they thought out the traffic situation a bit on the inter section 57 and I believe San Remo , (The street that is between Wendys and the new store) because it gets horribly congested with traffic the way it is, I can only imagine once the store opens it can only get worse.

I'll see you at the sneak preview. Yes, it is only a supermarket, but unlike most supermarkets, this is one I enjoy strolling through and tasting the samples. The atmosphere is way better than a Publix or Winn Dixie.

Whole Foods isn't like your neighborhood Publix. There are many specialty sections within the store, and there's usually space for seminars or entertainment.
When a supermarket offers a sneak preview, it's usually to show off new or unusual features, or new concepts in offering goods to the consumer.
